Hello. So I got the results from my appointment today and it turns out I have ASD support 1. I am very high functioning apparently. But it's good that I know. I have some LDs too, but they aren't common at all. So I am trying to learn about myself, but I need to make sure I'm not caught up in the label. It's just gets hard. Should I keep this to myself? I need to add stuff to my IEP though, so I have to tell the special services department. I'm just happy I know now and not later.

Social anxiety disorder, GAD, OCD, ASD, and panic attacks

Lexapro, 10 mg

Hello Nike007: You're under no obligation to share this information with anyone you don't want to. It makes sense to share what you've learned with the special services department, as you mentioned as well as with other professionals in your life (psych, medical, educational, etc. However, you need not tell friends & acquaintances unless you want to. (You probably know that already.) Congratulations on learning more about yourself!

Hello. Thanks for this . I told special services today and am getting this process done. I did tell two friends whom I am very close to. I wouldn't share it with someone I wasn't of course. I have told my friends so they can help and understand me more and know that I may do inappropriate things without knowing.
