Hi i tried to commit suicide several times and i am not feeling good. I have aspergers syndrome.
But is it possible that it is caused by a trauma or some brain injury.
I had a head trauma in 2010 quite violent but for drs no consequences and Aspergers symptoms were present before the injury.
I have had no answers about this on previous forums.
Is it also possible to become less smart bc of an injury?

A lot of things are possible. Is there a neurologist you can share your concerns with? They'll be able to tell for sure.

Here are some links. You can see that there are several MIs possible after a brain injury, but Aspergers is not one of them. You can also have a look at the kind of tests they do to check, and ask your doctor for them. Good luck!

Yes, of course. Please see a neurologist about this. Asperger's syndrome people might feel bad about themselves sometimes but not necessarily suicidal at all. Please check into this as much as you can. It sounds like the docs took the easy way out and blamed it on Asperger's. I wish you the best of luck with this. Big hug, too!
