I was wondering if Non Verbal Learning Disability is a real disorder?

My doctor said she has never heard of it..

If u were shown the original image for 15 secs and asked to redraw it from memory which one would you produce? I think I'd draw c or d.

Thats the diagnosis for NVLD for 6-12 year olds.

I remember my drawings in childhood looking like that.

Hmm, the pictures in your post aren't showing up but now I'm really curious. I wonder if there's a way to get them to show or if images just won't show up here or something? Or if it's just my laptop, of course, haha.

I can't say for sure, of course, as I'm only someone who's done a tiny bit of research with NVLD on the confusing list of possible things I may have, but I think it's a real thing. I think I remember reading that it hasn't been made an "official" diagnosis or something, but that some psychs/professionals think it's actually the most underdiagnosed LD. It sounds like it's pretty common for doctors not to know much about it.

It absolutely is a real thing. I've been dealing with it my whole life and its had a rather detrimental effect on my quality of life. I'm 23 and among other things have the handwriting of a first grader.
