Has anyone tried using positive affirmations as a self help method for this? And how has it worked for you?

Affirmations don't work on their own, but they can be a good self-esteem boost. Try also looking int he self-esteem forum, as a lot of affirmations are geard towards that. In order for an affirmation to work, it has to be realistic and concrete.
