Well, once again, a coworkers lunch for Christmas. I can count with the fingers of one hand, the coworkers lunch I attend to.

There is a list on the office wall to write your name if you want to assist.
I'm still wondering if assist or not assist.

I now know better my coworkers because we have an online group and it's being easier for me to share with them through this médium.

Said that, I'm afraid, as always, of feeling too much anxiety, feeling isolated...you know, all these anticipatory thought we usually have.
I'm also as well, to feel so tired becaused of the socialization that take place with Christmas celebrations that I don't feel in a good mood for the lunch.
Any advise? Or would you like to share your experiences?

I avoided the Christmas parties because they included the husbands, wives or SOs of the people I worked with. A lunch, though, I would take part in and assist with because it was only for the people I already worked with and knew. If there are a couple of people there that you are comfortable with then just sit at their table and enjoy the food and friendship. It might be a good way to start getting used to socializing but only if you think you can be fairly comfortable.

If you assist you will have something to do, won't have to make much small talk and people will appreciate your helping out. I assisted at last year's works Christmas do - it was not much bother and I felt better than if I had just let it slide.

You're right, Man. In the end, many of my coworkers already know about my depressions and my social difficulties.

My coworkers are really supportive.
Thank you, Man!

No, I haven't. It's on December, the 20th.
But, i can anticipate something, I see myself running after the first glass of wine I see. Or in the bathroom trying to breath.
Thank you anyway, friend.
I will let you know how it goes.

I take it from another post the lunch wasn't a total success? So sorry Azul! I know when I have so much time to think about an upcoming event, it is a lot more difficult for me. On the bright side.. it's over now! Yay!!

I didn't go. But I don't regret it.
To be honest, I don't like to commit ahead. I knew I felt too much tired of work. This last week was very hard and I only wanted to go home with my kids(doggies).
No problem.
