I've been suffering depressions since my adolescence.
I remember writing in my journal about it.
Mine is a reactive depression. When I feel rejection from others I begin to question my own strenghts to cope with this situation and I avoid it.

I take meds, now I'm on withdrawl but what it really helped me was BCT ( Behavioral Cognitive therapy) that help me with my self-steem a lot.

I'm very happy now because my depressions used to be in winter and I think I'm coping quite well this year.

What about you?

Though I don't have Avoidant PD, I have found that journaling helps. Battled depression since adolescence.

Therapy has helped, as well.

I have avoidant pd and I also struggle with major recurrent depression and have been hospitalized many times and attempted suicide several times. I am really bad right now with the bad, cold weather. I am trying though and getting through the days.
