This month just needs to end. One more week. I can't imagine what will happen before then.

I've just had a family member die. Not close, and not unexpected. But it does mean required attendance to the funeral, etc, with so many relatives, and so many of them who haven't talked to each other for years, so at best it will be the stiffest room I ever walked into, and at worst it will be an episode of Jerry Springer.

Every single week this month I've had an event happen that in any other year would have been considered the worst thing that happened that year. And nothing is getting resolved, everything has repercussions that will last for months or years or forever.

I do know the next bombshell - my therapist is going on maternity leave; it's her last week.

I don't know what to think anymore.

Thank you.

The funeral wasn't as bad as I feared. It was early enough that no one was drunk yet, which helped. All I heard over and over was some variation of "I haven't seen you in 20 years!"
