I have always known I have a touch of this but lately it is getting worse. I just don't want to be around people. At work, I hide in my office. At home I hardly go out, I even pretty much have unfriended 1/2 my Facebook friends.

I just don't find people anything but a problem.

AvPD doesn't mean you avoid people. It means you long to have close relationships but your self-esteem is so poor that you can't allow yourself to have them.

Take a look into schizoid personality disorder. "I just don't want to be around people" kind of fits that PD to a T.

Good luck!
