Hi,

I have just joined the group. I very well understand how neglect and rejection in the childhood was internalized by me and how it turned into AvP later. I am interested in finding out the difficulties members of this forum face at workplace. I’d like to know this as it will make me see my own problems at work in a better light. If anyone has any suggestions to deal with rejections and anxieties at work, it will be a great help. Thanks.

I am retired, but when I worked, my workplace was a living nightmare. A psychiatrist suggested a coping tool for me. He said to use my imagination and imagine that I was a doctor in an insane asylum. I was to imagine my coworkers and bosses as mental patients. In this way I would not take things personally and would not be so affected by their negativity. He also suggested I use humor as a coping skill.

This helped me a lot. Not sure it would be helpful to you though. So sorry I do not know how to be really helpful to you in this matter. You are in my thoughts and I hope things work out for the best for you!
