I've been telling people who say they're losing their insurance, they don't have drug coverage, or their income is too low (or all of the above) for quite some time that there are free drug programs out there.

They're often called "Patient assistance" or "patient assist" in doctors offices. Here's one such site where you can print out the app yourself and bring all the pertinent info so your doc just has to sign off and mail it in:

http://www.rxassist.org/providers/default.cfm

Enter your medication, select the correct version of it, and voila, they tell you what programs are available.

Now, you can find other sites that do the same thing. All I did was Google "free prescription drug programs." Check it out. Some of you may already be qualified to get these free meds.

Amanda. Here's the link to Geodon. There are forms to the right hand side and income requirments below if you didn't already check this out:

It's a Pfizer program.

Even if you have drug coverage, if they won't cover a certain drug, you can apply for these programs. Maybe I'm not getting what you're saying.

But I have insurance, but no drug coverage. Next quarter if I pay the $500 extended plan I will have coverage after a $20/copay generic and $40 for brand name. Still, I can't even afford that! So if you're undercovered/below the poverty line etc., you still can qualify for some of these patient assist programs.

I'm so tired. Sorry if I'm making little sense. My head kind of hurts and my mind won't leave me alone tonight! Instead of my thoughts racing so much, they're just focused in on a single mantra and it's driving me mad!

I hope I can sleep tonight for 8 hours at least. Sorry if you can't get the meds you need.

When I was on geodon our insurance didn't cover it, so my docter always gave me free samples for the month.
Thanks for this!
