Does anyone have experience switching from Risperidone to Seroquel XR? My Dr. just had me make the switch and I'm curious what to expect. I am switching because Risperidone made me very uncomfortable physically, and like a walking zombie. I am also on 1500mg of Depakote.

Hi Chris,

I'm sorry I can't tell you about the switch. I know nothing about Risperidone.
But I have been taking Seroquel which has helped lessen the frequency of mood swings for me.

I hope the switch works well for you and you feel much better soon.

Thanks, and you are right it has lessened my mood swings. Although, my mood is not as "up" as normal for me. I tend to fly up o the hypomania side. Now I'm much more tranquil.
