Where do you meet others with bipolar . I live in phila, and know longer talk to my one friend who was bipolar. Her and my wife didnt get along but she was my only surport we help each other though some hard times . Its so hard dealing with it on my own . I try not to tell my wife how bad i feel sometimes. Its not that she dose not care but it makes her feel helpless that she cant understand how feel or how she can help me .Its always been my job to take care of her. I always had bipolar friends to lean on but I moved and dont see them know more .I feel so lost .

For me, I just happened to see a notice pinned on the wall where I go for treatment... DBSA has support groups scattered throughout the country, and the groups meet darn near everywhere... the one in my area is predominantly those who are living with bipolar, but they also let people attend who are living with a person with bipolar and/or depression. It helps a lot... you ought to go to the website and see if there's a group in your area.
Hope that helps! ![]()

Hey Mickey..
Sorry you aren't talking to that friend anymore. There is a support group in Willow Grove/Abington, PA called New Directions Support Group (http://www.newdirectionssupport.org/). I haven't personally gone but I have heard wonerful things about it from the people I know who have gone. If nothing else, e-mail Ruth Deming who is the leader of the group and chat with her. I did that last year and got some great group info from her. Take care! |
