Hello...i stumbled across this site trying to find answers to a question that may not appear all that serious but to me,it is Looking back at photos even from as early as 8 months ago,i have noticed a tremendous thinning of my hair from them to now. I mean,i struggle with my hair everyday.....always hoping for a good hair day vs a bad one but now its as if i know i am not imagining what i have thought for sometime now.....my hair is getting thinner and thinner.I am currently on 200mg of Provigil and 100mg of Lamictal.I believe I have been on the Lamictal for a longer period of time than the Provigil, but my long term memory is hazy.I was on both of these meds at these doses when the pictures i saw were taken. I am also on 40mg of Celexa which i have only been on for two months, before that i was on Cymbalta and Seroquel.Does anyone have this same issue, can anyone help me pinpoint which med is the cause? I would say i am pretty stable for the most part with my BD,so i am nervous about stopping one or both my meds but if i wait too much longer i feel i wont have any hair at all to complain about. Also over the last few months i have added Biotin,Vit B complex and a multivitamin just to try and help my hair along from the inside so to speak.TIA for any advice

I can't find anything online about hair loss with either of those drugs. I got worried because I am going to be put on lamictal and I don't want to lose my hair either. It's thin enough naturally! Sorry you're going through it. Every individual has different responses to drugs and just because no hair loss was reported in the trials doesn't mean some people didn't have it and blamed it on something else or that your particular combo of drugs isn't contributing to hair loss. Talk to your doctor about your concerns and see if anything can be done.

I have been on Lamictal (300mg) for about a year and no abnormal hair loss. I also don't remember reading anything about it either, Good luck to you, Jen
