The hypomania that lets me get things done, especially creative writing!
My adopted cat who nags me for attention most of the day and relieves my stress every time I pet her. My two chinchillas, who remind me that there are others who depend on me and love me regardless of my mood. My partner who sees the strengths in me and understands the weaknesses too. That I can usually work and go to school part time despite the at times crushing depression, anxiety, and PTSD. The few friends and family members who have been kind during the bipolar discovery process. Psych Central acquaintances and support groups that help me to keep on keepin' on and see that I'm not alone in facing these difficulties. Chocolate, baking, growing food, the internet, fun tech toys, interesting books, and medications that are helping to make life manageable. Everyone, feel free to add on to the list. ![]() ![]()

And I've been such a cynic most of my life. Seriously, I was a 7 year old pessimist. Haha. If I met myself at that age now I would laugh at my dismal view of life. I mean, it's not gotten much better, but at least the meds are evening (hey, is that the same spelling as the word for night?) out my moods.
