I live in a complex of duplexes. Today I was taking groceries into my house, or what I thought was my house. I saw a chair and can of cigarette butts on what I thought was my porch. I thought it was the neighbors, it is something they would do. I got mad and threw the chair and kicked the can of butts. Only to find it wasn't my house! The guy who lived there and asked what I was doing? I started crying and told him I was so sorry and so embarassed. I told him I didn't know where I was at, and I cleaned up the mess I made. And I just kept crying. He offered to call somebody for me, and I said no and left in my car. I went the long way around and finally went home. I live a few doors down. Now I am afraid he will find out where I live and report me to the landlord, and then I'll get kicked out. I can't tell my partner because she will freak out and get all stressed, worried, and angry.
I am so stressed about this. I am such an idiot and a fool. I really am crazy. I hate myself. The police have been to my house before with the fire department because I OD'ed and was sent to the hospital. Perhaps this is the last straw?

Don't fret.
![]() It was just a bad moment...that seemed to get worse. We all have days like that especially us bipolars. As hard as it is try to stay optimistic, I highly doubt you will be kicked out of your house. I hope you feel better now. ![]() |

I've gone to the wrong car before. It is disorienting. I am sorry this happened to you.

I walked into the wrong backyard before (trying to visit a friend) and petted the dogs and walked in like I belonged only to find out that it was the wrong house because the people came out and said, "What are you doing here?"
It was awfully embarrassing, but the feelings will pass with time. Now I think it's kinda funny. I doubt the guy will call anyone. He probably just thinks you were under some stress and made a mistake. Hell, he was probably happy to have such a pretty visitor. ![]() ![]()

I agree with everyone else. It is no biggie. That neighbor might even got a chuckle out of it and someday you probably will. ![]()

Lauru, plenty of folks have done stuff like that. I would even put it in the Normal range of behavior.
Try not to worry about it too much. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Thanks everyone for all the support. I beat myself up for things that I shouldn't I know. I just am so embarassed. I hope I don't run into him again! But thanks for the support, I don't feel so alone now.
