I've found that when things seem out of control, take a benzo. things tend to relax. nuckingfuts said the same thing. what do you use to come down and calm down?

I take klonopin sometimes at night if anxiety is preventing me from sleeping, but rarely take it during the day as it does make me tired & I don't want to sleep my days away.

I did have a major panic attack about a week ago w/bad chest pains (one of my anxiety symptoms) & husband encouraged me to go ahead & take the klonopin about 6:00 a.m. as I had been up for about 5 hrs. w/acute chest pain & anxiety. He also said to "take the day off" from trying to do too much & "find some joy."

The klonopin did help grt rid of the chest pains combined w/breathing techniques learned in DBT.

I take 4mg of klonolpin at nights and am on 40mg of aropax (also for depression) in the mornings.

I also try to keep my breathing under control when things are. Breathing is very steadying.
