insurance wont pay for my lunesta. haven't slept since the first day I paid out of pocket for it, YAY

ON an earlier post I was prescribed lunesta dna my insurance didn;t cover it.

Not sure if you looked into it, but sometimes insurances will cover Lunesta if you can prove you have failed on other meds. Your doctor would have to fill out a prior authorization form and then fax it to the insurance company and they make a determination within 3 business days as to whether or not they will pay for it. A lot of time it's in a higher tier because it's newer and doesn't have a generic. Of course the insurance company will opt to pay for the cheaper med but if you have tried it (and clearly you have since you're taking Ambien) they will often then go ahead and pay for the Lunesta. The only catch is you'll have a higher co-pay. It's still cheaper than paying out of pocket and clearly much better than going without sleep. Hang in there and check about getting a prior auth!!!

thanks! still waiting on the dov so dosing with ambien and tonight will be left over trazadone. see if anything helps. I told him I have both and he didn't mind me pikying one and going with it if it worked. Amien is no hope. lol. Just waiting out the weekend

Me likes natural sleep, but with all my meds I'm required to take, how would I really know if it was natural? I do you just mean without a specific sleep aid?

You know I'm going to ask about what my doctor thinks about trying Seroquek again because Geodon is just not working for me.

Geodon was my second choice after Abilify when I knew that Seroquel was seriously depressing me and making me too weak to walk w/out support.
Who knows. I think my p-doc will probably drop my A-D if she knows how manic I am, so I'm afraid to call. Wellbutrin withdrawals were horrible after a few months when I stopped taking it on my own, even w/tapering it off. So how much worse after a year (well, 9 months since starting up again)? I feel fan-*******-tastic right now. It can't last, but oh how the past 5 weeks, with few exceptions, have been swell.

Geodon is hell to me. I have constant drowsiness, dizziness, DROOLING, inability to care for myself. Maybe maybe Abilify. I was on the wrong stabilizer when I first tried it do who knows.

Hmm...well, Geodon sounds like my Seroquel. Who knows. If my p-doc finds out how manic I am, something will have to go and that would make me sad. I like feeling this way. but I still can't read or write for long periods of time/concentration.

You aren't or I'm not? Or both? No offense if you're just talking about me. I know what's going on in my head isn't normal, but I can't help it. I can help some of the more extreme behaviors, but not all of them.
Feel kinda yikes. Glad it's supposed to be cold and rainy today. Don't need to be going out.
