So I went to a T to talk the other day. He was a really nice guy and I am going back on Thursday. It is weird though, it is like I am all talked out. I am just exhausted. I mean I can talk to him but I just don't feel like talking to anyone else. I really didn't even want to post because it is talking but I figured maybe someone feel the same way and I was wondering what you guys did?

I understand, I think. I can jabber on and on with my T, but then not feel like talking to anyone else.

I usually do what you did--come here & "talk" here, thru posting.

Thats the thing though. I haven't even wanted to post here. It is like I am going back into my shell. It has been so hard to open up and I feel like I am done with it.

I feel like that at times too don't want to talk to anyone. Sometimes I read through ppls posts and don't respond because I don't feel like talking and even posting is too much. T
Sometimes I just don't have anything to say. Nothing I want to come out.

We've hated ALL our T's and haven't been able to open up to them at all.

I think it's hard to talk to the people we see every day in our lives. It's often superficial. The reason why we're more open to our T-docs is that they've been trained to listen in a specific way and reinforce thoughts and ideas, whereas other people are often distracted or half listening or you're embarrassed to tell them what's going on in your head for fear of being judged. It's like, a therapist has heard it all, so what have I got to lose and they're professional and being paid to help me work through this. Other people can be impatient or downright indifferent.

Don't blame you at all for not feeling like talking to others.
