I have Bipolar Disorder and I've been taking Seroquel for about two months. I'm not sure if its just me or if what but it seems like the Seroquel makes me irritable. Has anyone else experienced this?

I'm on Seroquel and it makes me tired; it's never made me irritable. But everyone has different reactions to meds, so it's possible it's the medication. Sorry I'm not much help!!

I echo griz. I took Seroquel for over a year and the only real problem I had with it was tiredness. For me though, irritability can signal a hypomanic episode. It wouldn't be crazy for Seroquel to cause irritability but I haven't persoannly experienced that.

I would take a higher dose of seroquel if I could but I realized that it makes my heart-rate go crazy after I take it so my doctor has cut it down. A friend of mine had a similar experience, something to pay attention to.

I have been taking seroquel for lack of a better option and I often feel irritable on it. It calms me from very agitated states but in general I feel a combination of sluggish and irritable while taking it.
