have been diagnosed with bipolar for about eight years, never can make myself KEEP going to dr.s, STAY on meds., get things together. I have the excuses of course, cant affford the office visits, meds. not working well enough, whatever, and feel such resentment for others who dont cope with these issues, like, if some have these problems-everyone should. im waiting for a new doctor visit, not being able to afford the last one anymore, and the anxiety is intense, im hopeful-but doubtful. seems they dont make a med. that will make me more normal or functional,

Dear Leah,

I am a veteran of over thirty-two medications that I went through over a period of five years while I did not function. You will find one that works, there are so many of them. This is an inside job that only we can take care of. No one can force us to go see a doctor, not even the doctor. Effort has to be made regardless of how awful we feel at the time. Undoubtedly we usually feel better after seeing the doctor. Hang in there, it will get better. I am living proof and I even had shock treatment as a last resort. It is possible....

Dear Leah,

There truly are new bipolar meds coming out at this time! It's awesome & wonderful.
I have my 'No Matter What' policy lol.

No Matter What I will (have to in the long run!):
take my meds, go to Dr. appts. etc. Do I feel like it all the time? Of course not. Diabetic, cardiac, & asthma folks need their meds. I need my bipolar meds. I think your med &/or combination of meds is available, takes patience - true, but it is available.

Mostly I remember the feelings when my soul's bottom drops out, that takes away even my best prized excuses.
You deserve to be the best You you can be.

Season's Blessings,
Holmes

yes, it can be really hard & discouraging to KEEP going to dr.s, keep taking meds, etc., when so much of the time it doesn't seem to be working. for me, every med change works, but only for a little while, & then i'm back where i started from. it is very discouraging & depressing & hard to live with.
hang in there
