This plagues me.
Has anyone ever said "I want to go home when they're already home? I've been plagued by this since I was a child. What is it?
Anyone Know?

I think it means you want to feel comfortable. Home represents safety and comfort to me. Maybe that's what you are looking for?

Me too. I will have to check in with myself next time I say it...maybe there is a stressor that I wasn't aware of.
Thanks for this!

Thank you all. I believe you are right. I had many deep hurts as a child and teen. I never felt safe. You have good insight. Thanks again.

My home is my sanctuary where I don't have to be okay when I am not. The others are right - that may be what you are looking for. I hope you find it.

I have said that. When I was 11 my parents moved me to another state. So my "home" is in the other state in my mind. Even though it has been 20 years!
