I thought I was coming out of a mixed episode but it doesn't seen to be the case.

I have an assignment due this coming week, only been back 2 weeks at uni and already having the same stress I usually have at exam period. Not sure how I'm going to cope this semester.

And after nearly a week without any suicidal thoughts. They're back and I want to self harm. Sigh.

Really scared of having a freak out and failing everything >_>

Mixed episode + school stress sounds like a bad combination to me. What kind of support is available...are you on meds, seeing a therapist, etc.? Wanting to self-harm is a red flag.

See to your stability and well-being first, worry about school second, in my opinion. (And sometimes taking care of the first helps with the second.)

I started meds a couple of weeks ago. Still to organise therapy sessions. My family who I live with are unaware of my condition, a few friends have an idea but no details. My boyfriend is the only one to know the full story at the moment but we currently live away from each other.

I'm not sure what I should really do - I don't want to drop out of this semester (in my current situation it would create some long term issues if I did) but I'm not sure if I should go talk to my lecturers or a student service or what.

Right now, wanting to self-harm isn't here. I haven't touched any uni work tonight though so I'm a bit calmer and I'm not sure how it's going to work when I have more than one piece of assessment to do at the same time...

You should consider going to student disability services. You can make a plan that might include additional time for you to complete assignments. If there is not a disability office try student services. Another option to is talk to the professors individually. In the US we have the ADA laws that protect people with a disability, a history of a disability or is considered to have a disability by requiring accommodations that do not change the nature of the course (less requirements, revised tests) but do cover things like extended time to complete assignments. I was a professor prior to going on disability and I always allowed accommodations.
