I'm starting to hear things...I can't distinguish what's real from what's not. Is this part of bipolar? Is it a deeper depression than I've experienced before? It scares me. I can't put my finger on what I hear...voices, whispers, knocking, strange sounds that make me jump.

I feel so strange. My skin feels strange, like it doesn't belong to me. I'm sick...sick...sick. I can't stay here any more, but I don't know where to go or what to do. If the fog starts to lift, I reach for it to come back. I'm scared to not be sad. I'm angry. I'm crying again. It leaks from my eyes and I can't stop it. Why? Why? Why?
Thanks for this!

Hearing things can be part of extreme anxiety or part of psychosis that can be part of bipolar/depression.

Please seek help from a mental health professional as soon as possible, it sounds like you are becoming very distressed.

Safe hugs (((((((((( englishteacher ))))))))))

Can you call a crisis line? They might have some suggestions for low cost/free help.

I hope you feel better soon.

You may need to go to an ER if this is causing you a lot of distress.

Check with the mental health services in your county offices. They may have low cost/sliding scale cost for services. You might qualify for help with medications. It is worth trying.

Anne...been there, done that. Sliding scale for me is $150 a month without meds - just therapy. I don't have $150 a month.

That's too bad, still too high a price. Hang in there and do what you can to reduce stress in your life, keep to a routine, eat well, and keep your sleep schedule consistant and long enough to be rested.

probably need to go to the ER. They can't refuse you services based on your ability to pay. After you get out, all you have to do is pay $5 per month to keep your account active. You can set up a payment arrangement. If you go to a non-profit hospital they will often decrease your bill based on your income information after you get out. It's worth it in this case it seems. Not worth your life. Again, if you're a danger to youself or others they can't really release you from the ER and they cant refuse to treat you. I hope you get to feeling better soon.

Hi, I am glad you are better today dear. What you described really worries me indeed. It could be all sorts of things, including schisophrenia. Either way - like the others say - you are in a great deal of distress. I am sorry. Please call a helpline or go to ER. You need to be treated!! xxxhugsxxx

Please, listen to gravyyy, you may not be as much better as you think, or say here. The bipolar may be morphing into a phase that needs immediate medical intervention. It is completely unpredictable when so stressed. You know what you must do, it is up to you, take heed and follow your need to reach out again, asap. You are important to us, to me!

I agree that you should go to the ER if you are hearing things that aren't there...I had to be hospitalized before I had my disability insurance and they told me I had to pay $250 per month or they would send it to collections...I barely had money for food, so I sent $5 - $10 every month, and when they did send it to the collection agency I went in to the agency and showed proof that I had been making payments and I was told that a judge would throw it out if they tried to pursue it because I was making a "good faith effort" to pay...and they sent the bill back to the hospital. After that they had to accept my small payments with no fuss. So if you need to be somewhere safe, please go in to be seen, and once you're admitted ask to talk to a local social worker about meds...I know some stores like Wal-Mart have the really low cost generics for some meds.

Take care and best of luck to you!!

I don't know where your from but can't you get a state insurance? I know if you don't qualify at first you tell them your going to apply for a type of ssi and you can automaticly get the insurance...I say I know but I guess I should say I think...Its like that with a medical disability but I'm not sure about mental disabilities and such.(I hope its the same) but its worth researching right?
