Power struggle

Whoever said age two was terrible, never had a three year old.

Thank goodness my mood is OK at the moment. This kid can push my buttons!

I remember thinking the same thing at the time (he's 17 now, so it's a whole different ball of wax... he can still push my buttons, but with the medications and knowing what's going on with my brain, it goes much much better now). Good luck with the button-pushing, it can be a real challenge.

I do not have children but I can only imagine the challenges that must occur!!!

It is all tounge in cheek, the original post. I love the kid and he is so cute. He just has a way of getting to me right before nap, and he is as stubborn as I am. not a good thing when he is tired and I have a million things I feel like doing.

Indeed, age 3 is a constant battle. I wish I could tell you it gets easier, but when one thing gets better, it seems a new challenge always arises. That's just how it goes. Best of luck!

I have an older son who went through it, but he was way more laid back about it.

Now my 8 year old is going through a similar phase, so I have an 8 year old who is arguing with me and trying to discipline his 3 year old brother who argues with every one!

I am grateful, though, because it means that they are feeling safe with me, unlike last year when everyone was walking on eggshells around me.
