I totally spaced my appointment with the psychiatrist yesterday.

I NEVER miss appointments.

I feel like a jerk for standing him up, but worse, I feel like a brainless loser, because I wasn't even doing anything productive. I think I was taking a nap.

Ughhghhh... I just hope he doesn't charge me for the missed appointment. I plain can't afford it.

I just needed to vent.

Don't worry, it has happened to the best of us! I did that several times. I would have my pdoc appointments before work in another town. And I always drove to work only to realize I was supposed to be at my pdoc's appointment in a town 25 miles away! Talk about speeding!!!

Just explain your situation and hopefully the office will give you a break, especially if you have enver missed an appt before. Don't be so hard o yourself! We've all done it at one point or another!!! Take care

I'm sure he'll understand, especially as he is the one medicating you and who should understand how your brain works and what you put up with dealing with BP.
I hope you can get a new app shortly

I am soooo glad the receptionist at my psych ring everyone the day before... else I'd always be forgetting...
I remember the sinking feeling when you answer the phone to "where are you???"
hope they are understanding and don't charge you, and that you can get another appointment...
