I get the same way when I forget my meds. I usually forget the morning ones because I have to take them when getting ready for work and I just forget. I get all fuzzy and foggy in the mind.
I hope you have a good 4th and are able to get some rest!

mommasuesue, I've been pretty lucky on that front, only spacing out like one dose (I split between morning and night) and haven't had any ill effects. The worst though is when I'm so spaced out (<cough> usually in the morning! ) that honestly can't remember if I took it or if it was the night before's dose that was missed. Try to have them in the splitter so that it's "obvious", but sometimes it's still not. Sigh.

(Mmmmm, lasagna! Yum! Hope you're having a good holiday. Nothing like a nice shower before bed... )
Thanks for this!

If I forget to take my meds I get insomnia the night I miss my meds with the next day having brain fog, the shakes and feeling totally wiped out until I take the next dose. I hope you get a good nights sleep tonight and tomorrow is a better day for you.

MUST. TAKE. MEDS. ON TIME!!!

Argh. I feel like my mom typing it like that, but look at it this way-- many of these meds are precise and NEED to be timed. For me, even mistiming by a couple hours can both make my physically ill and send me cycling (usually WAY down). I cannot imagine what would happen if I had to go without them for a night or longer. It can also be unsafe, I imagine, depending on the particular drug(s). I don't want to lecture and I promise I'm not; I just hate to see people hurting, physically or otherwise.

I hope you felt better once you took them! And enjoyed some lasagna.

If I don't take Seroquel I can't sleep. So I put my seroquel in those weekly pill box so I always know if I took it or not. Lamictal after a couple days I feel really down. Haven't noticed anything with Lithium, though at the most I only miss a couple days as I take it with Lamictal.

Just curious, what meds do you take?

There's no way I would remember to take my meds without an AM/PM weekly pill box and the permanent alarm on my phone that goes off at 8am and 8pm. I know you didn't take them that night for a good reason, but I couldn't do without mine. Have I adjusted dosage without my pdocs permission? Yes, guilty. But I did it gradually and have gone back on the meds that I really still need and dosed myself back up to the higher dose prescribed after the short term experiment. If I don't take my geodon early enough or a benzo, I can't fall asleep until sometimes 2am or later and I have broken sleep. This is what happened last night because I wanted to test to see if I really needed the benzo and I don't want to become dependent on it. If I don't take my geodon and wellbutrin dose in the morning, I have bad depression and anxiety. With them, these moods are bearable, without, I'm in pretty bad shape. I'm glad you were able to get back into your rhythm. Stay safe in the future.
