I started working for a online company a few weeks ago and everything was great. Then they started to get nasty and I ended up leaving. They have not paid me for the 2 weeks I worked for them and I get no response to emails. The problem is my good friend also works for them and she swears up and down that it is a good company. I looked the company up on ripoff.com and there are over 100 reports of non payment to employees. Now my friendship is strained with my so called good friend who is refusing to help me get in contact with the company's management.
What should I do? Is there anywhere I can report this company and get the pay that is owed to me? What about my so called friend, should I just cut ties with her?

You can report them to the Better Business Bureau.
Can you describe the other aspects of your friendship, the give and take, how invested are you in this friendship, and how invested is your friend in YOU? This sounds very difficult.....people are mean to me as well, many jobs have been similiar for me  Now I work with kids and it is very beautiful, very understanding and non judgemental atmosphere! Guess you have to kiss a few frogs before you meet your prince/ideal job I wish you the best in life, I wish things to improve slowly

well that stinks. I would report them to the better business bureau like junerian said.

skully, I think you can file a complaint with the labor bureau. They will investigate and make them pay if that is their finding. You can also possibly take them to small claims court. But I would definitely try the labor bureau first. Good luck.

Skully - I know you are upset right now and it appears as if you definitely are due the 2 weeks pay. I unfortunately do not know who you would report the company to, but I believe some good leads have been given above.
Regarding your friendship; I would try not involve your friend in this matter at all. It's not her you have the gripe with, and in a way you are putting her in the middle. If you want this relationship to survive, deal with the company directly. I know this sounds harsh, but I'm just giving my opinion.
