My pdoc gave me lamictal along with 3benzos, temazepam, Xanax, and klonopin. the anxiety and mania have subsided but I'm still having depression and it's scaring me. I spend half the day in a fog and then part of it being sad

I'm so sorry to hear. If the meds are still new, just hang in there while your body adjusts. And keep your pdoc updated on any progress or just generally what you are feeling

Three benzos??? I have to fight with mine tooth and nail to get one...and I get not even enough for a month and I have been diagnosed panic disorder AND two anxiety disorders.
Benzos can cause depression...think about how they act in the body. They are not exactly stimulating in any way. I notice if I take mine too often sometimes I will have a brief downswing. I imagine alternating amongst three could make you feel foggy and maybe depressed. Also, while Lamictal does have pretty good anti-depressant properties, it is intended in bipolar as a mood stabilizer and is often paired with an appropriate anti-depressant (or med that works as one) medication. Give yourself some time to adjust and then talk to your doc if you are not comfortable with how you feel or feel you need something else for the depression. |

I don't have2take my benzos everyday. Even when I don't take em I still feel depressed&I'm afraid to be alone. Other day looked@all my pills&actually thought bout taking em all so I wont feel this way anymore. Bad girl!! So I just left&went to grammas house. Seeing pdoc next week so I'm gonna ask. I'm not taking an AD yet but maybe its time to start.
