So, after much deliberating, and ranting, and whining about my mom that denies my dx...

I sat her down, gave her the official BP talk, gave her a BP fact sheet and highlighted all MY symptoms PLUS, wait for it...wait for it...I handed her ALL MY THREADS (WOW, don't know how I pulled that off)...and told her not to read them at night cos it's kinda warped.

POINT?

She's being much nicer (not that she was horrid to begin with, just unsupportive) When she sees me looking a tad irritable,or whatever, she brings me tea, encourages me to eat so I can take MY MEDS, YES! the very meds she wanted to flush and is generally WAY more understanding of ME in GENERAL. It's almost like being accepted for the very first time in 10 years!!!! I know she's always loved me, but she's NEVER "got me", I think to a certain extent, she does now...

Just wanted to share something warm and fuzzy and also say
THANKS TO MY PC FAMILY, YOU GUYS WERE MY INSPIRATION AND STRENGTH

Yeah I remember the moment that my mom accepted my diagnosis too. I told her in a restaurant and she said, "You're the same person I've always known and loved." She accepted the bipolar, but it didn't change her love or respect for me. She used to be against my taking the meds, but now that she's seen what they can do to improve and stabilize my mood she helps me to get samples when my insurance for rx's runs out. It is so wonderful to be loved and accepted by the one who brought you into the world. I am so happy for you!

That is so great trippin!!! I know that has to be a large weight off your shoulders. I'm so glad your mom has come around to your side. Way to go on confronting her with the facts.
