Can you call your doctor? Or a hotline? I don't know the drill there, but I'm sure there's an emergency number you can call?

Hi larakeziah, I'm from Canada, but I would suggest just having someone take you to the ER and let the admitting nurse know what's going on. You will then get evaluated by a Psychiatrist. In my experience I was evaluated by 2 Psychiatrist and then was admitted. I suggest bringing pj's, a change of clothes and any toiletries you need.

I hope you can too, but don't feel obligated because of a wedding. Your mental health is more important than that and there are always other options for someone else to take on your role at the wedding.

I totally agree with Beth..Do not feel obligated to any social event. If anyone is angry with you for taking care of yourself, they'll get over it. Do what you need to do for you, OK?

Hi Larakeziak
Im in UK,
I asked my psych for a straight forward list of what to do in a suicidal crisis, and he was f***ing useless! but after phoneing all the crisis lines they all said the same thing, which is phone out of hours GPs for a referal to the emergency psychs, or go to A&E
I must admit it seems really strange to go to A&E and say, I havent done anything ...yet!
I am sure they would rather you went in before you did any damage than try to sort out the damage AND they probs behind it.

I am very much in the same place as you at the moment, and in the UK. I will keep checking on here tonight if you want to PM

do you have a cpn? I know it's sat now but they should be first call during the week.

are you known to the crisis team? cos it's up to them on a weekend about who to admit. if you present in hospital they should automatically call the crisis team and they'll assess whether you need to be admitted or not.

just beware though, i've presented in hospital before taking od's and they've just sent me home with diazepam!
Thanks for this!

community psych nurse. they usually work for the local cmht.

are you in contact with the crisis team now? Cos if you are, you need to call them. if not, they probably wont see you without a referral

Laea, I hope you can get intouch with a crisis group or a casualty because it sounds like you really need help. Please don't push it any further, hon. Huggs and hope you can find some help really soon.

i'm worried you'll keep finding reasons not to go and not to call. Sometimes we need to put our life on hold to protect it, to heal it.
Thanks for this!
