Ok, so got my quetiapine, have had a rough rapid cycling between severe mania and severe depression for few weeks. I got a bad chest infection while i was manic, and rather than dropping to the floor, it levelled my mood out to quite a NORMAL happy mood.
My appetite is normal, i have energy during the day and great restful sleep.
I'm neither manic nor depressed. SLIGHTLY anxious, havent felt anxiety for a while so i'm not enjoying that but my moods good.
I'm just middle of the road.
So question is, do i take my quetiapine?
I'm thinking i might feel worse for it.
I havent heard any voices or had any hallucinations, panic attacks or feeling of the blood overflowing my body for at least 2 weeks now.
Should i wait to take it and savour the normality, would the Q trigger off a mood worse than this??

I would continue to take it until you have spoken to your pdoc about your reaction to the medicaiton. How long have you been taking the medication?

It depends. Is the quetiapine prescribed PRN (as needed) or for every day? I take 150mg every day and I can take 25mg more if I need it. I haven't needed it for about a week, so I am saving it. I won't go off the 150 unless my p-doc says so because it seems to be helping.

I hope you continue to feel better.

Sorry, I misunderstood. I would call your doctor before taking it. The balance is so precarious with our moods. I wouldn't want to recommend anything because I am not a doctor.
