Winter is always the worst for me, medicated or not.

I have more trouble in the winter than the summer both medicated and unmedicated. The worst time of year for me is Dec-Jan.

In spring (October) I get anxious and mildly depressed, but I think its more to do with the end of the academic year/exam approaching etc that I associate with that time of year... other than that I am severely depressed more often in winter (unmedicated and while medication was not optimal - last year winter was fine)

I am medicated but even so, I have to adjust them constantly for the seasons: spring and summer, the anti-psychotic has to be increased and in the fall and especially winter the anti-depressant has to be significantly increased, with the anti-psych decreased.

I find myself in more of a depression in the winter time than in the summer. In the summer my moods are much more stable than in the winter. I tend to rapid cycle more in the winter and I hate it. I need to move to the tropics lol!

From September to April my mood drops. Prior to being diagnosed during this time I would experience major depression. I have been diagnosed since 2007 and this winter has been my best as far as mood. I still have found my mood has dipped, but I would describe it as a mild depression and it's not chronic. I have been using a SAD lamp since September and I think that's what's been making the difference.

During the spring/summer my mood lifts and I have to reduce my anti-d in half.

I've been on medication since 2007.

i have kind of reverse seasonal affect; manic as heck in the fall (i live in New England; beautiful mood enhancing foliage); sluggish and slow in the summer, esp when it's very humid. I love winter; nice and quiet in the snow. Peace!
