I have been on disability for my illness since late November. For the past few weeks I cannot sleep and just want to go, go, go. This is bad because I go back to work today (just for half days, my doctor knows about my lack of sleep). I am very discouraged because the last time I didn't sleep for almost a month straight I ended up going back out on short term disability. This is related to my mania I guess. I am very ticked off because it seems like I can never have a normal life without this illness getting in my way.
Has anyone ever had a similar experience like mine? |

Hi JaxIce I was on long term disability for 8 months after my diagnosis. I was extremely stressed out about going back to work and it did affect my sleep.
Lack of sleep could be a symptom of the illness and/or caused by stress. I suggest speaking to your Pdoc about it. Perhaps you need a med change/tweak and/or sleeping pills.
