Yeah, it's been quite a while since I posted. Well, I'm bipolar. I am a "strange" bipolar because I'm usually what people would call normal. I am lucky the meds do me good. But I am bipolar. When I get depressed, I get sucidial. No inbetween. And I've only been manic once and I was psycotic for 3 weeks.
Well, I'm getting old. And now I have an autoimune disease called Sjogren's Syndrome. Different people who have it get different symptoms.
I have the dry eyes and dry mouth, I can't feel the bottoms of my feet which makes it hard to walk. I had to get special inserts so I could walk at work. What's the worse thing is I have what they call fatigue. I am so weak I feel like I've been beat up. I haven't been to work in about a week and a half. I've missed a lot of work because of it.
Today I decided to go for medical disability. I hope this specialist goes along with me. He just handed me some pills he said would help me and told me to lose some weight and he would see me in 4 months. That was
December and the pills haven't done nothing. Oh, I forgot to mention my regular doctor thinks I'm hypothoidic and gave me a scrip for low dose hormone. I should hear from my psych tomorrow. He was concerned about it back in Oct but didn't give me anything for it.
My husband's read up on Sjogren's and I guess it can get worse. I can mess with your thyoid but so can lithium.
I cry about it at times. Most the time I'm ok. I just haven't really had the energy to sit and post.
Thanks for letting me vent. I guess we all have our problems. Hang in there and I hope you get help with yours.

Hi owllover nice to see you posting again Sorry you're having extra medical concerns.

Remember you HAVE bipolar. You're not bipolar.

Hi owl! So glad you're back. You would think that BP would be more than enough to have to take on; it doesn't seem fair to add medical issues on top of it. It makes me wonder if autoimmune disorders and BP are tied together somehow; I have a non-specified autoimmune disorder and one of my sisters has lupus and she's BP I.

Anyway, hope that you can find some relief and we'll be here for you.
