I know I've been more talkative the last 3 days and a bit more hyper and internally restless. Should I call my pdoc Monday and just use ativan at night? I couldn't sleep last night and I don't want to go further down the road toward mania. . Or should I call to ight?

Do what you can to sleep... its most important at the moment... Call your doctor if you are worried, and definitely on monday.
Good luck....

I'm afraid of not being able to sleep again. I did sleep 5 hours but still was up way late. I hate this feeling.

It's good that you're noticing the change. I think if you're questioning whether you should call, you should probably call. i hate not being able to sleep too - take care of this now before it gets too bad.

I don't swing that way.

And I get inti trouble when hypo and then manic I go psychotic. At first, I'm really funny, but hypomania gets feeling like anxiety, restlessness, akathesia, like I wank to knock my head on the wall o er and over yet talk peiple's ears off nonstop and go get things done. Mania takes me into hearing voices and seeing people who "disappear" and to believing I can fly off balconies.

Not where I want to go. Besides- I have a new boyfriend and a clean STD report - don't want to mess those up!

Second Ativan hitting. Ahhhh.... I may sleep!

Or the bad times

Get into physically fights, get arrested. Tell people to **** up, be little people..etc...I get the good and bad of the hypo

Good Luck with everything.

I coulda got into fights many times. I just don't want to get arrested! It's hard !

I am awake again. slept a bit but gaining 60 pounds means I have problems sleeping. I hate bipolar. Some days it seems interesting and some days it's so tiring and some days it's really no fun at all.

Half my problem is being really cold. Was earlier too. Turned heating pad up and put on robe and climbed back under lots of blankets. Plus a glass of milk.

I need to have normal sleep by Wednesday. I am going on an important trip thursday morning.

Awwww...I just read this. i'm sorry you didn't sleep well
And the more you think about it, the worse it gets. Only one more day till you can talk to your doctor - do you think you will call? Do you take a sleeping pill like Ambien?
I take Ambien CR and i just switched from Ativan to Xanax - I take them together and it has been helping with my sleep.

It's good to distract yourself if you can't sleep anyway. If you are cold, I'm sure that can be fixed quickly (And extra jersey?) Phone your pdoc on Monday - today - and see if he can suggest some meds to keep things in check - so you don't get into full mania.

I hope things settle - lack of sleep is not helping I'm sure, but it's so important!

I slept last night pretty well. Had an hour and a half nap then a normal night's sleep.

I have 5 pillows, 5 blankets and a heating pad. I'm cold when out too.

Of course you should take what ever is prescribed for you. It's there for a reason. If there is enough energy in your mania, try attacking an ugly project, like a dirty closet, till you get something from pdoc and you can feel it working.

I am just seeing this. Take care, Moose! I agree with Ryask with the emergency session. I really hope you come out of this okay, and not into full-blown mania.

Take care of your self! Mania can be a %&#@! !

Love it! Actually, it would probably drive me wild. Too ironic. I'm not sure if you tried it yet but you *should* be able to take the trazodone and ativan at the same time. Ive taken trazodone and klonopin together.

Have you ever tried binaural frequencies? they help me out sometimes to wind down at night. some that you can download are just the plain frequencies that sound like white noise, others have songs or beats laid over them.
