Has anyone else ever done this? I have a lot lately, either because I couldn't make it to my bed or because the floor just seemed a lot more comfortable when I couldn't sleep.

I can remember, when I was really little, I wouldn't be able to sleep so I would take my cover and go find some corner of the room to curl up in, and it helped me to fall asleep.

Last night it was the bathroom floor (nasty, I know, luckily my mom makes me clean it daily) because I had been crying for some reason.

Just wondering anybody else has ever chosen the floor over the bed

Oh, very much, Amarantha! Countless times. Not only for sleep. It's as if the bed seems too high and the floor more appropriate. The bed may be more comfortable physically, but mentally, not at all. I even have a corner of the closet with pillows in it and call it "hidey hole". My inclination is towards corners too.
Welcome to the forums!
Great looking profile page btw!

It's good to know I'm not the only one ^^ I very much agree with you about the floor being mentally comfortable.
When I was little I used to sleep under my bed as well as in the corners, and I used to have a tiny door in my bedroom for storage space that I called my 'Alice in Wonderland door' that I liked to sleep in, hehe :P

And thanks, I like your profile page too

Not the only one...Not at all!! For a long time I've had a thing with the sofa. I HAD to sleep there. And then I had a nightmare about Death being sat there with his skeleton arm outstretched on the back of the sofa. And then automatically I went to the floor and I felt like 'why didn't I think of this before?' I won't go very close to a corner, but I will have a mental circle around me, marking the 'sleeping' area. Unfortunately the spot I really like is in the living room and I don't want to freak my flatmate out so I try to make do with the bed - floor in my bedroom isn't good

I have never fell asleep in a corner but I do sit and read in a corner. Most times in my closet and I live by myself so this would seem really strange to an outsider so don't tell on me ok?

I have the couch thing..there are times I just can't make myself sleep in the bed. Sometimes it goes on for days.
