Hey guys, I am veeery new to this site and would like to introduce myself... I am 20 years old, diagnosed 2 years ago with Bipolar 1, PTSD, and social phobia (otherwise known as social anxiety). I decided to join this site because I'm going through a really tough time with my episodes...it seems I'm either depressive, manic, mixed, or hypomanic there is NO NORMAL between. It's really irritating because a lot of people don't seem to understand why I'm so emotional when my life really isn't that bad.

Anyways, I hope this will help.

**Peace

Welcome. I'm sorry you're having so much trouble with your episodes. Have you spoken to your doctor about changing/tweaking your meds? Or at least let them know what's going on?

Well...funny thing...I've seen two psychiatrists and they just aren't for me. Plus a lot of this medication is overwhelmingly HORRIFYING they've prescribed me Abilify, Geodon, Risperidal...they all make me drowsy and eat waaaay too much. I'm thinking about trying lamotrigine...it's an anti-seizure medication but it also helps stabilize moods.
