I am so freakin' irritable the past two days. I am finally off of the Depakote, but now I am sick. I have a chest cold and I'm congested. Maybe that is the reason. Idk, but I am super on edge and my poor son is getting the brunt end of it. I feel so bad because I keep snapping at him to do things or not do things. I have resolved myself to just stay in my room by myself and not talk to anyone and not go anywhere. I can't even stand being around myself right now. I'm trying to sleep away this sickness, but that isn't working. UGH....I don't want to be myself right now.

I hear ya. I hate that feeling. I shut myself in my room too when things get "off". Right Noe I'm in here for the peace and quiet.
Thanks for this!

I am sorry you are feeling so irritable. Maybe it does have something to do with your cold. Maybe you could try pampering yourself and doing some self soothing exercises. Take this time to be kind to yourself and treat yourself well. I hope you feel better soon. Good luck.
Thanks for this!

Maybe I should take a nice hot bath.....I don't know if that would work, but it couldn't hurt my cold, could it. lol

Thanks!~

The steam might help clear you up too. Do you have any essential oils like eucalyptus or peppermint? They would help clear your sinuses.

No, I wish I did. I might have to make a trip to get some.

I highly recommend the essential oils in the bath (eucalyptus and peppermint are great choices...lavender as well - all are known to have anti-viral properties). You can also get these things called shower soothers and they're great for in the morning when you don't have a lot of time. You just drop one in the bottom of your shower and insta-sinus-opening power.

well, I have Bronchitis and a sinus infection.....could have totally contributed to my irritability. I'm still irritable. Everyone and everything irritates me. Oh well....I just need to breathe and try to calm down.
