I guess I am really not sure if I have had "hallucinations" or not.
I am on my third, mentally painful day of manicness (yesterday was a doozy)
I have been writing down my thoughts, experiences, etc and I am more in tune now since my manic episodes seem to be getting worse - so I don't want to assume I hallucinated.

So I walked into my bedroom and the light was on, I thought I turned it off. My bathroom light was on to and I walked in and as soon as I approached I heard the "violin screatch" that you might hear in a horror movie (think "Psyco") and saw a woman like the creepy one in the grudge. I only saw and heard for two seconds, but I saw ( like she was semi transparent).

I might add that when I "heard" the screech, it was not with my ears, it was in my head as if I were thinking of and "playing" a song in my head (if that makes sense)

Anyhow, input is appreciated as I would like to log this incident because this would be another piece of the puzzle I am realizing.
Thanks
Nick

PS - 30 minutes before this happened I had a "premonition" - I had a timer set because I was cooking (ha, manic is handy) and all of the sudden I jumped up to check the food and not a half second after I stood the timer went off...
-Sounds crazy, but I have had much more significant "premonitions" noticeably in the last 5 years, and supposedly my grandma has experienced premonitions as well.

Sorry for rambling, but PLEASE help as this is very important for me to understand. /end rambling

Hello, sxprt. Have you talked to a professional about this?

No.
If these are real hallucinations, I have never really been aware of them being a problem. In this case I would think "hey I just saw "The Grudge" so that's why I saw that, hahaha" - but I haven't seen anything related to that movie in over a year, and it never scared me.

So between the fact that this was very random, I happen to be in my 3rd manic day, and I am realizing that I show more symptoms of Type I than I thought, once you get down to brass tacks.

I will talk to a professional, but right now I don't feel like I am in a crisis right now.

I have had hallucinations that have been black shadows, but I agree with the byz to speak to a Psychiatrist about it.

It's really hard to say if what you experienced is a hallucination. Sometimes when a person gets stressed, over tired etc. their mind can play tricks on them. I hope you start feeling like yourself soon.

I am much better today thank you.
I feel like I am coming down from my cycle and no more seeing things last night, ha.

Thanks for checking back - I am making sure to take VERY thorough notes to keep track of my cycles/moods better.

Very glad to hear this. I recall some very vivid hallucinations when manic, so I know how scary that can be. Please keep us posted; I was hoping you were ok.

Just a friendly update on this topic...
Nothing I can recall since the OP incident date.

Thanks for the concern! On to other issues...
