Is anyone on Tegretol for Bi-Polar 2? What about high thyroid treatment? I have a shrink that I do not overly trust. I do not really want to get another one because I am moving in less than a year. I have taken lithium, seroquel, lamictal, depakote, and symbyax. None have worked well, the symbyax did really help me but I was taken off of it due to the super amount of weight that I gained. I gained weight on lithium, and seroquel. I got really sick from the depakote. The lamictal just stopped working. So, now I am sort of stuck. I would love to hear about anyone else's results from Tegretol or the high thyroid treatment.
Thanks

Erica- may I ask, what you are on? If it is working. How long did it take you to find something that works?

No weight gain with the risperdal? That sounds like a good coctail. Prozac is good. I was on it mixed in with another medication. Thank you so much for your information.

You kept the cup sizes? That would be a nice treat. Lack of the monthly curse would be nice too. Did that come back? I hope I am not being too personal. I am just trying to get info before I talk to my shrink. The more info I have, the better off I will be.

So, right now, you are doing well on your cocktail. All stable, no monthly curse, a new rack, without weight gain. Are you happy, not feeling drugged, or zombie-like? No roller coasters? You are just on 400mg of Tegretol? I have read that 600-1200mg is recommended because the way the body digests it.
Thank you again for all your info.

All of the above is correct! :-) my dosages are split into AM and PM. Initially i was on a higher d0sage of Tegretol, but i felt like a zombie, 200mg AM & PM seems to w0rk 4 me. I am happier than i've been in years. If and when I do have a m00dswing,it's less pron0unced,way m0re managable, dare i say alm0st like n0rmal pe0ples? LoL... My sympt0ms have n0t vanished, they've just been numbed. But you're right, i'm stable and it feels great! Its a pleasure to be able 2 help :-)
