I struggle in the winter time with low mood as well, but this year I started using a SAD lamp and it has made a difference for me. I use it in the morning when I wake up or if I don't have time to use it before work I come home and use it at lunch. I found I had to start with short amounts of use because it gave me a headache. (This is common if a person has fair skin/fair eyes) I now use it for 30 minutes a day.
I have the travelite and I purchased it from this company: http://www.northernlighttechnologies.com/

I'm the opposite. I'm happier during autumn and winter. I have a complete breakdown every spring. But I keep telling myself: It'll pass; everything does.

Hope the light helps.
Spring time is my most unstable I think because it is a time of change and I don't like change.....

That's funny, I'm exactly the same way. Spring is the absolute worse for me. I get the worst of my symptoms during this time and I tend to do fairly well autumn/winter like you. Funny how that works, huh.

Winter tends to make me depressed. I think it is because I feel trapped. Rainy days get to me too. Even though I have no where to go I just don't like the feeling of being contained. I love to feel the sunshine on my face, it feels releasing to me and comforting.
