Now, starting on meds, I felt immediate relief, not from any episode but from the remaining symptoms in beween!
I have been dysfunctional so much of my life, without knowing. Do I still have some problems? I am my only reference, how should I know. All right, I have had a reasonably good life, although struggeling with irritability, emotions, social relations and depression. Is that a common realization? |

For me, once the medications kicked in and the racing thoughts went away, I was able to start exploring a side of my life I had never experienced. I was able to process thoughts more logically all the time. I was able to relax and really get some peaceful rest. I was able to enjoy friendships much better as opposed to the way I typically manipulated people before. I learned that there is life between mania and depression. I still struggle sometimes with anxiety and am often on the edge of mania but am better able to recognize the symptoms and make better decisions. Life is still hard but it is a bit easier to navigate at least. Peace, Mac

Very reassuring Mac Murphy!
My experience is very similar to yours, also the process of exploring my new life and find a better course to follow. I think I need some time. Odd and unexpected. |

Glad to hear things are looking up!
When the depression is under control, you have much more energy and time to enjoy life. Most of all, it gave me the opportunity to start giving; helping others. All the best and enjoy! |
