Soooo, after almost a month, my sex drive has taken a dump.
I just don't have drive.
I also have bad insomnia after this Risperdl and I am on a normal dose. I even try taking it hours before bed and not right before.

Any suggestions for anxiety and paranoia, which is what Risperdl is for.
I see my psych tomorrow, so I am hoping for feedback before that.

I can't have sexual side effect or sleeping issues. I will then be medding my side effects, and that's never good.

Thanks in advance!
Nick

If it is an anti-psychotic, there is a class of them that can help with anxiety and paranoia. (Seroquel, Abilify, Zyprexa, Geodon to name a few)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antipsychotic <---scroll down to second generation anti-psychotics

However, I think it's a common side effect most meds in this particular class and others that you'll end up losing your sex drive. Talking to your doctor and telling them this is a concern may help them come up with a solution that can best fit your needs.

Makes me a little sad because most do exactly what I am experiencing, low drive. I am 29, I can't have that.

I know zyprexa and abilify are next on the list...I believe.

I will do, I feel excessively crabby today, but last night was my first dose and it could be coincedental. (since I am bipolar after all)
