Hopefully I can get some input on what's been going on. For the past year or so I have been experiencing some bad mood swings; these mood swings are never physically violent, but I yell and scream and blame others for things that have nothing to do with them.
Thinking about it, it seems like these mood swings occur for no reason; for example I'll get really upset for someone yawning to loudly or the weather outside. Things I can't really control. While these bouts of anger come I am aware that I shouldn't be angry and sometimes I can control my anger by clenching and reclenching my fists, especially in public. My public persona a is entirely different- I'm extremely friendly and personable, but when I'm with close family it happens. I don't want to continue to put my family through these mood swings, so hopefully I can get some advice on what to do next. Thanks guys. |

The anger usually comes when I can't control the situation. Is that normal? |

We are humans and generally resistant to change. Do you not think that your moods are linked to the frustration of not being able to control a situation? Not being willing or able to change and adapt?
Are you getting enough rest now that you're working a bit more? Try track your moods daily, and make a note of any external stressors that can be to blame. If you cannot find stressors, highlight this, it could be a sign of BP. And then make an appointment with your general doctor for him to offer some advice and see how you're doing. He may advise you to see a pdoc for a diagnosis of something |
