kmb! I don't even really have agoraphobia, more a case of when anxiey gets out of hand, and sometimes I can't get out the door the mailbox, which is right downstairs.
Frustrating stuff!

kmb ... is there anyone close to you that you would trust enough to go with you? I felt anxious like that a few days ago and would not get dressed hoping it would make my hubby realize I was not up to going anywhere and being seen. In my mind at the time I swore I was going to be judged.

Maybe sitting in the tub with cool water and some sort of relaxer would work for now? (Relaxer meaning whatever works for you such as candles, music, a book, etc)

Thanks guys, I looked out my window and peeked at the other residents sitting and chatting and always admire how simple it looks to do, and yet how hard it is to actually do with this anxiety and fear and agoraphobia and I dont even really know what IM so afraid of. I fear people for sure.

I understand the fear of interacting with people. I have the same fear. Keep trying.

Good on ya, Kristen for getting out there.
I don't know what it is that makes us dread being around people sometimes. Some subconscious thing.
Maybe we have a gut feel that we aren't psychologically able to deal with whatever may happen in a crowd or group situation, and that ability can change from time to time.
