Well I went out to get the bus and noticed it was on the OTHER SIDE of the street, this TIME, last time it picked me up on the side I was on so I crossed and waited over there thinking it would pick up on that side waited forty minutes and it came from the OTHER direction where I had been waiting. OMG. lol, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. SO I decided to come home and chill instead of waiting there for another hour, now I'm off to catch the bus again Wish me luck ha ha ha, I AM going downtown today and to wallly world to get my medications refilled. Tee hee hee, in a really good mood oddly. Prayers to Joplin ? MO where the f4 tornado wiped out the hospital and 2000 other buildings, Pray I am NEVER in a tornado like that. One touched down in Fountain Colorado forty minutes from here, scary stuff. have a great day all. HUGS.

Glad you're keeping in a good mood, despite the stupidly bonkers bus. I've had that kind of problem here, so it's obviously a transatlantic trait of buses. Hope you get where you're going, and stay cheerful.

Luck to you, kmbpeace1171! (And congrats on the good mood despite!!!... I've been known to have a meltdown or two over transportation... )

You know, it was funny to see your thread title, as I literally just got off a public transit webpage (for another city) looking up buses between 2 locations that I wouldn't particularly mind walking between (but will be with someone who would mind...) and about wanted to rip my eyeballs out! I've been there before and remember it being frustrating, but this time I am convinced their bus system was created by a roomful of monkeys! (They finally did get one non-bus thing simple and right, alas that it does not go near to one of the destinations...sigh)

Hope all goes smoothly for you!

I rode the bus back and forth to work (30 miles) for I think 25 years. I always made sure I lived by a "decent" (Indianapolis bus suck) bus line so I could get to work and back. I made sure I lived close to a store I could get groceries I needed during the week and by a pharmacy. I have been lucky enough to have insurance that I had a copay that it didn't matter what pharmacy I went to. I have tried Walmart and it's terrible for service and to get the meds I need they usually didn't have them.
But I remember being out waiting on the bus for 45 mins 5 am 53 yrs old in 27 below zero weather. And one night it snowed real bad it took us 5 hours to get from work to downtown to get the bus home. I was lucky. The bus was there. I'm spoiled now. Or I was until I got so sick I had to retire early. You bus riders hang in there. We know how it is. Love, Owl.
Thanks for this!
