I'm on Geodon to sleep. But it doesn't work like that for everyone my P doc says. In fact, he can't believe it's helping me, and is quite puzzled by it. It is a newer drug, and he said when they used it in the hospital...it had an opposite effect on the patients, and they were all awake using this mood stabilizer. I'm on other medications with it, so I can't tell you if that's what is making me gain weight, or if it's the lexapro, and lamictol.

Just reread...yes you must eat with it or it wont work. I keep cheese sticks, that you can buy in the grocery store in the cheese section to take it. I take a few bits, I take the geodon, and then I eat the rest of it. You have to eat it like that or it will not work for sure. Very true.

Once you do start eating with it, be very careful. That is a high dosage and it may make you very very sleepy. Once it begins to work properly (and hopefully it will), you may be able to lower the dosage quite a bit. Like I said in an earlier post, 160mg made me pretty sleepy, and I split it in two doses throughout the day.

Just the two doses I took with food I am already starting to feel alot better. Though I feel myself zoning out alot.
