I have been taking Seroqu.el XR for about 8 days. I seem to be very agitated - is this usual? I just feel all keyed up and evil, like the wicked witch of the west.

I have not reached my max dose and realize I should give it some time, I just wondered if anyone else has had this effect.

Thank's in advance everyone.

Rosalee

That has not been my experience with it. But drugs can affect different people different ways. For me after getting on it I was lifeless for prob four days. After that my body started adjusting. Before I started taking it the littlest thing enraged me. It stopped once I got on Serequel. You may want to speak to you Pdoc about your symptoms.

You should ask your Pdoc, but if it continues happening after you're at a therapeutic dosage, then it doesn't seem Seroquel is the drug you need. You'll probably then titrate off it while being put on something better suited for your chemical makeup.

I had that when I took it. It was part of the reason why we took me off the medication. That and I was too tired to function all the time. So yes, I've had the same effect. It wasn't a medication I was terribly fond of.

Hope you find something that works for you soon!

Same as Hydro only that in time the agitation went away and I was left with just feeling sedated all the time (in a non-clouds & balloons happy kind of sedation, if that makes any sense) Definitely speak to your doctor about it.

I hope you feel better soon, you don't want the Wizard or Dorothy after you

I was put on seroquel after I was hospitalized from a breakdown. It was AWFUL. It made me so anxious I could hardly stand it. And when I had my follow-up with the doctor instead of taking me off of it, he tripled the dosage!!!! What the heck? I found a new doctor right away. The other one wasn't hearing me.
