So I have a friend who is being verbally abused by her boyfriend of 11 years. I have tried to talk to her about her options and her case manager has even talked to her. I know its hard to leave thats how long it took me to leave my physically abuse husband. So should I stay out of it or keep try to get her to see reason?

A situation like that is unfortunate because no one can see clearly the situation they were in until they leave it. They cannot see the reasons why they need to leave or the ways in which they can escape until it's all been said & done. Just try to relax & remain supportive, but anything you say will either be discounted or viewed negatively, even though it may be in good faith.

The best thing you can do for your friend is to be there for her no matter what. Quietly let her know that she has your support and that you'll always be there for her.

Yup- I'll second what's been said. Be there for her, nut don't get involved. Be objective at all times and look after yourself please. These stressful situations have way of dragging u down too

I am going to my friends house today. I am going to do my best not to voice my opinion so strongly and just concentrate on listening to her and being there for her.
