If you had to escape your house because

it was on fire, what are the three things you would grab (besides family or pets) to bring with you.

Mine would be my family pics, my meds. and my laptop. Okay I am going to add one more and that being my Ipod.

So 3 or 4 things?

cell phone, laptop, jewelry

i have all my pictures stored in the computer

checkbook, guns

cell phone, car keys and the house phone to call 911

I would grab my nan god bless her soul,Dieah my old boy's wooden box of ashes and finaly my photo's time willing.

I would grab my laptop because pictures are stored there, and my kids' sleepy toys so that they can have some comfort for wherever we end up, and wedding photos so that we can see where we started and know that we can start again.

My binder of important papers (birth certificate, my entire life's worth of poetry & philosophy, art), the laptop, & a couple books. I don't have any family pics or a useable cellphone or anything useful in my wallet, haha!! So my sentimental & intellectual property are of utmost importance. Other than my boyfriend, his mother, & our cat. : )

Laptop, purse (cell phone is usually in it, I don't have a smart phone, yet...), then my "bucket-o-meds.".

Favorite band collection stuff (it would take too long to grab it all, so... best stuff), laptop (pics and communication with outside world) and purse (has phone, ipod -- would throw meds in, esp. anti-anxiety).

Iphone, a load of my make-up, not because i'm vain, but because i have collected it for years and my 8 years worth of diaries, i cant lose them!

OK, I lived through Hurricane Katrina, and she took everything I ever owned so I've thought about this alot....
I have a stuffed bear that was given to me the day I was born...It is held together by my tears through out my almost 40 yrs. (It made it through Katrina only because it was at my Dad's and floated ontop of my matress, not a wet spot....but he only had 5ft of water)
I'd grab my box of insurance and important papers.
And I'd grab my computer, most of my pics are in it as well.

My laptop, money, cello, and stuffed animal. Very relevant thread, being all the fires where I live lately...

Since my family and pets are already safe, I'd have to say my classical guitar, probably my son's steel strung, though it's not worth much, since it was a gift to him from my husband, and my kindle.

OMG!!! I'd leave the computer and take the guns for sure!!!
